With a background in Social Anthropology, I have been drawn to people's stories since childhood - valuing and recording them from a young age.  

I specialise in finding the authentic human-interest story within any subject or experience, and shaping them into relatable and accessible narratives and communications. My work has helped both individuals and organisations engage and connect with their ideal audiences, extend awareness, deepen understanding and where needed amplify key messages and inspire meaningful action and impact.

In 1996 I joined Channel 4, working for both Film4 and Documentaries, before moving into the independent TV production world where I worked for some of the UK’s best production companies across both production and development for nearly twenty years.

Working across factual series and formats I’ve also tasked Michael Palin to try unusual things in two of his travel series, Hemingway and Sahara; convinced Jerry Hall to cross the Ganges when her ‘search for spirituality’ took flight, believed in and tenaciously championed Marina Chapman and her compelling life story to secure the National Geographic 90’ feature documentary Woman Raised By Monkeys, and developed two series for PBS, SKY and Animal Planet/Discovery, exploring inspirational and inseparable bonds between humans and wild animals, and the profound learning and heartbreak that often accompanies them.  These included Dame Daphne Sheldrick’s story of her beloved first elephant Aisha, and Hester Mundis’s relatable and heart-wrenching story of her experience rescuing - before wisely relinquishing - the orphaned and trafficked chimpanzee, Boris.

More recently, I led the digital content division and video exhibition initiatives for leading brands including Dreweatts and Titanic Belfast developing cross-platform short and long-form content that delivered measurable audience engagement and industry recognition.

Creative, collaborative and empathetic, I love finding stories that transform and inspire, champion less heard or known, and bringing together the best people to help each story speak for itself and reach those who need to hear it most.
